JKV Residents in the News: Veterans Receive “Quilts of Valor”

Pompano Beach — On June 9, 2026, in a highly emotional ceremony, ten John Knox Village residents were draped with a handmade Quilt of Valor of red, white, and blue, custom-made for each veteran. The event was organized by the Quilts of Valor Foundation in conjunction with the Quilt Guild by the Sea, honoring now-retired veterans who served in numerous capacities in the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines.
