High-Minded Train Your Brain Workshop

Join us for a High-Minded Train Your Brain Workshop with a High Tea on Tuesday, March 26th from 1:30pm-3:30pm. This exclusive Train Your Brain Workshop will be facilitated by Retired Board Certified Neurologist Dr. Murray Todd, as well as other experts.
 
This workshop will provide useful tips and strategies for improving memory, increasing vitality, promoting faster learning and sharpening the mind!
 
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: Complimentary parking passes will be provided at the entrance of the Beach Community Center. The passes must be displayed hanging from the rear view mirror.

Antique & Classic Car Show

March 30, 2019 • 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Get your Motor Running!!!

Members of various antique and classic car clubs will come together to showcase their automobiles from the 1900’s through ’20s, ’30s, ’40s, 50’s and beyond!

Nearly 50 cars are expected to be displayed around the community’s Furman Square, Rex Foster Lake and surrounding villas.

Attendees will be given the opportunity to vote for the “People’s Choice Awards,” by choosing their favorite automobiles.

Around 1:30pm, there will be a parade of cars around John Knox Village for viewing by all residents and guests.

Meet Author Susannah Marren

Meet Susannah Marren, author of “A Palm Beach Wife.” She knows a thing or two about Palm Beach as she has spent more than 40 “seasons” on the Island, where her parents had a home.

“A Palm Beach Wife,” is a novel about Faith Harrison, who is an A-Lister on the tony Island of Palm Beach. Books will be available for purchase and Susannah will also be available to sign your book at the event.

Salon Concert with Nicole Henry, a Jazz Sensation!

John Knox Village is proud to partner with the Venetian Arts Society for a Venetian Salon experience with Nicole Henry, Jazz Singer Extraordinaire! This salon concert takes place at the Weiner Museum of Modern Art in Dania Beach, FL on Thursday, April 11th.

Nicole Henry has established herself as one of the jazz world’s most acclaimed vocalists, possessing a potent combination of dynamic vocal abilities, impeccable phrasing, and powerful emotional resonance.

At 6 p.m. there will be a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception, where you can enjoy conversation with one of the most diverse and sophisticated groups of people one will find anywhere.

At 7 p.m. attendees will move into the Cultural Center’s Theater for the Salon Concert and the rare opportunity to be a part of the artistic process and to interact with two master international artists in an intimate atmosphere.

Following the Salon Concert, there will be champagne and dessert to enjoy, and an opportunity to meet the artist!

Symphony of the Americas Concert & Reception

Long-time Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic and acclaimed violinist, Glenn Dicterow and his wife, viola musician Karen Dreyfus will perform a new work for violin and viola with the Symphony of the Americas Orchestra.

A pre-concert informational talk and wine tasting begins at 7:15 p.m.

John Knox Village, a long-time supporter of Symphony of the Americas, will be hosting the post-concert reception.
