POMPANO BEACH, FL | June 1, 2026 — John Knox Village of Florida (JKV) in Pompano Beach, FL has been named by the Sun Sentinel Media Group on their list of “Top Workplaces 2026.”

Bob Helbig, of Energage, the employee-survey company that analyzes the survey results, says, “Top Workplaces don’t happen by accident. They are created through a people-first approach to workplace excellence. The award is verified and earned through an employee survey process. Workplaces where employees offer positive feedback about their experience make the list.”

For the 12th year, employee survey company Energage has partnered with the Sun Sentinel to honor the best places to work in South Florida. For the first time this year, employers were grouped by the overall size of their organizations and the number of employees invited to the survey. Employers were grouped into similar sizes to best compare similar employee experience — large organizations with 400+ full-time employees, midsize companies with 125-399 full-time employees, and small companies with fewer than 125 full-time employees. John Knox Village scored in the midsize range with 388 employees.

For 2026, 8,483 organizations were asked to survey their employees. Based on employee feedback with a 53.1% response rate, 170 organizations earned the recognition as a best place to work.

Energage is based in suburban Philadelphia and evaluates employee feedback based on responses to 26 questions on the survey on such factors as benefits, direction, leadership, meaningfulness, and appreciation. Energage states that the award cannot be bought; it must be earned.
