The JKV Foundation has 16 different funds for donors to choose from if they want to designate their gift for a specific purpose in the Village. They include:

In addition to these funds, JKV Foundation is instrumental in supporting the arts right on the John Knox Village campus, now possible with the opening of its 330-seat Cultural Arts Center. The Foundation has contributed to many high-caliber performances that entertain and enhance life at John Knox Village.
Village Arts Circle
Another way you can support the JKV Foundation is by joining the Village Arts Circle. Funds from the Village Arts Circle support JKV’s ability to provide “Best in Class” programming, both on and off-campus, for its residents, in partnership with the greater community.
Supporters ensure a lasting connection to the arts at John Knox Village. To thank those who join, Village Arts Circle members receive:
- Advance notice of Cultural Arts news and performances
- Advance notice and discounts on ticketed performances
- Invitations to select pre-performance receptions
- Invitations to select speakers and VIP receptions
- Recognition at performances
- A Village Arts Circle token of appreciation
As an added benefit of membership, Village Arts Circle Members receive recognition through JKV’s newsletter, annual report and other publicity.

Village Arts Circle 2023 Exclusive Sponsorship Opportunities
ARTSage Single Performing Arts Event – $10,000 per event per year
Bring outstanding musicians, musical ensembles, singers, choirs, actors, actresses and comedians to the JKV community to share their knowledge and experience.
ARTSage Single-Year Artist-in-Residence Series – $25,000 per event per year
The Artist-in-Residence program encourages accomplished, professional artists to create fresh and innovative new ways for residents, staff, and the greater community to experience JKV, wellness and aging through the arts.
ARTSage Single-Year Performing Arts Series – $30,000 for 4 events per year
Bring outstanding musicians, musical ensembles, singers, choirs, actors, actresses and comedians to the JKV community to share their knowledge and experience. One sponsored event per quarter.
ARTSage Lifetime Sponsor – $250,000 one-time gift
Create a Lifetime Sponsor Legacy by supporting the opportunity to bring outstanding musicians, musical ensembles, singers, choirs, actors, actresses and comedians to the JKV community to share their knowledge and experience.
Did you know:
- In 2022, the JKV Foundation launched The Village Arts Circle – a new patron organization to support the arts and other life enrichment programming in the new Cultural Arts Center. Since its inception, over 160 residents have already joined – some with lifetime memberships.
- The JKV Foundation boasts endowed funds of nearly $6.5 million, with the largest portion being the Benevolence Endowment Fund of $5.4 million.
- Over the years, the Benevolence Program of the JKV Foundation has provided several million dollars in financial assistance to JKV residents who, through no fault of their own, exhausted their resources to continue living at JKV. These grant awards make it possible for them to continue their residency in the community.
- The JKV Foundation offers individuals the opportunity to establish Charitable Gift Annuities (CGAs) – A CGA allows the donor to support our mission while your JKV Foundation charitable gift annuity earns you income.
- The JKV Foundation enables you to honor and celebrate a loved one or friend with the Forget-Me-Not Program, specifically named after the delicate flower by the same name. There is no limit to what you can or cannot celebrate. It could be a remarkable memory of someone taking a daily walk, sharing a meal or special occasion, or perhaps a memory of someone to whom John Knox Village meant so much. You, your friends, and your family can remember a beloved John Knox Village resident, nurse, caregiver, or staff member with a donation through the Forget-Me-Not Program.
- The JKV Foundation proudly promotes its Legacy Society, comprised of individuals and couples who have included the JKV Foundation as a beneficiary of a future gift. Most individuals and couples who have joined the Legacy Society have not done so for recognition, but many have graciously allowed the JKV Foundation to tell their stories to inspire others to make a future gift.
