1. My original fantasy about my decision to move to John Knox was driven by the grim fears of growing older without having a strong safety net for my aging maladies….BUT suddenly all of that got pushed aside, when I discovered a thriving community of beautiful homes, outdoor amenities, sports, theater arts, exquisite dining, fitness facilities and peer relations unlike anything that I’ve ever experienced…all on one campus.
I wake up every morning with a calendar of events that will educate, entertain and enliven my day. It was indeed the right decision for me to move here.”
2. JKV has a warm and welcoming culture that projects, friendliness, mutual respect and caring that contagiously effects all residents. That same embrace is felt from our staff, management and leadership at all levels.
When asked if I like living at JKV, my response is …”I wish I had done it sooner”. When asked if it is expensive? I respond, “The quality of life, immediacy of medical care, the amenities services are all worth the cost.”
3. Let me say it this way. I moved to JKV in June 2021. On my morning walks around this beautiful campus, I admire the variety of lush landscaping that frames the meandering villas and buildings nestled among the trees. I pass the east lake that is home to a variety of wildlife, mostly ducks, that squawk “Good Morning!” as I pass. JKV is a village, a hamlet, a neighborhood.. that cradles us gently as we write that last chapter of our lives. I could not have found a better place to write that final chapter. Spend one day on campus and you will know of what I speak.
